Arrival & communication
Booking journey, pre-arrival information, signage, reception, clarity, language and first impressions - including information guests may never think to ask for.
Independent hotel guest experience audits
We stay on-site as real guests, observe the entire journey and turn everyday friction, service gaps and missed opportunities into a clear, prioritised action plan - then, if desired, we stay and help your teams put the improvements into practice.

Our point of view
We do not tell you how to run a hotel. We show you what it feels like to stay in yours. Great hospitality is not about having zero problems - it is about how your team notices, communicates and handles them.
About us
We are Denis and Anna, entrepreneurs and long-term travellers with a background in customer communication, marketing, content and service. For six years, travel was our full-time way of life. We have experienced hotels, resorts and other accommodation across different countries, price levels and cultures - not as industry insiders, but as the people every hotel ultimately serves: guests.
Today our work connects Germany and Norway, giving us a practical Northern and Central European perspective on expectations around communication, service, clarity and trust. When we work internationally, we do not impose one country's standards on another. We look at the property in context and ask a simpler question: what helps this hotel deliver a better, clearer and more memorable stay for the guests it wants to attract?
We also bring a perspective that is easy to miss in a standard hotel review. Denis travels with asthma and multiple allergies; Anna eats vegan. That means we experience first-hand how much unclear information, fragrances, cleaning products, food preparation, labelling and small service decisions can affect whether a guest feels relaxed, welcome and safe enough to return.
And we pay close attention to the guests who do not complain. Many people will not ask a chef the same questions every day, challenge a confusing label or request a different setup. They simply go without, accept the friction - and sometimes never come back. We look for exactly those silent moments.
The service
Our signature engagement is deliberately practical: first we live the guest experience, then we turn what we observed into a structured report, and finally we work alongside the relevant teams to implement the most valuable changes. The second on-site week can follow directly or be scheduled after the report.
For seven nights we experience the property from booking and pre-arrival communication through reception, rooms, housekeeping, food & beverage, common areas, guest requests, problem handling and checkout. We observe different days, times and situations so the result is based on a real stay, not a short inspection. The scope is agreed with management; day-to-day observation remains discreet.
You receive a substantial, structured report separating strengths, friction points, quick wins and larger operational opportunities. Findings are prioritised by guest impact, effort and potential commercial value. Where useful, we include concrete suggestions for communication, room setup, housekeeping, food presentation, dietary information, service processes and guest-facing details.
If you want us to, we present the relevant findings directly to your staff as independent outside observers. That takes pressure off management: the feedback does not have to come from the same manager the team will work with for years. We deliberately present strengths first, explain the guest perspective and frame problems as situations to solve - never as reasons to blame individual employees.
We work on-site with the departments involved in the findings. With kitchen and F&B teams, that can mean clearer ingredient information, better buffet labelling, dedicated utensils, practical vegan or allergy-aware options and preparation routines that make life easier for both guests and staff. With housekeeping, we can review room setup, cleaning products, fragrances and guest-facing routines. With reception and service teams, we work through communication, complaint handling and the small moments that decide whether a problem becomes a bad memory or a reason to trust the hotel.
What we look at
Booking journey, pre-arrival information, signage, reception, clarity, language and first impressions - including information guests may never think to ask for.
Responsiveness, ownership, tone, consistency, complaint handling and what happens when something inevitably goes wrong.
Practical usability, cleanliness signals, room setup, maintenance details, comfort, fragrances, cleaning products and small points of friction.
Buffet logic, recipes, presentation, ingredient information, labelling, utensils, staff confidence and the experience of guests with allergies or dietary restrictions.
The issues many guests will never complain about: unclear information, awkward requests, missing alternatives and small inconveniences they simply accept before choosing somewhere else next time.
The gap between what the hotel promises online and what guests experience - including missed opportunities around upgrades, add-ons, repeat stays and perceived value.
This is a guest-experience and service audit, not a medical, statutory food-safety, building, accessibility or legal compliance inspection.
The outcome
The value is not in finding as many faults as possible. It is in distinguishing what matters from what does not, protecting what already works and making improvement feel achievable for the people who have to deliver it every day. We work in a respectful, appreciative way because sustainable service improvement needs staff to understand the reason behind a change - not feel attacked by it.
